  5. WebCam Sam is a unique program which brings you live
  6. pictures from around the world by connecting to 
  7. cameras on the Internet, known as webcams.

  9. Status: Shareware; 
  10.  Registration Fee: $15.95

  12. Distribution:  This version of WebCam Sam is freely
  13.  distributable as long as no files in the zip archive
  14.  are changed.

  16. System Requirements:

  18.    Windows 95 or NT 4.0
  19.    386sx or higher processor
  20.    12 MB RAM (16 MB recommended)
  21.    10 MB HD Space
  22.    Mouse
  23.    Standard Internet Connection: TCP/IP standard
  24.     socket level connection. Works with but not
  25.     limited to Windows 95 dialup adapter,and
  26.     America Online's 3.0 and 4.0 for Windows 95
  27.     Software.

  29. Installation Instructions:
  30.                           
  31. 1. Unzip the file (websm211.zip) to an empty directory
  32.     with any decompression program which handles
  33.     .zip files.
  34.  
  35. 2. Run setup.exe.  The program will install WebCam Sam and
  36.     create a program icon.
  37.  
  38. 3. Click on Start and go to Programs and click on the
  39.     WebCam Sam icon to start.

  41. America Online Setup Instructions:
  42. -------------------------------------------------------
  43. In order to use WebCam Sam with America Online you will 
  44. need to use America Online's 3.0 or 4.0 for Windows 95
  45. software. If you installed AOL from a disk you probably
  46. have the America Online's 3.0 for Windows software which
  47. will have to be upgraded to the America Online Windows 95
  48. software version.

  50. To check what version of America Online software you have
  51. double click on the AOL icon and go to help on the main 
  52. and select about. If you see that the software is listed
  53. as America Online 3.0 or 4.0 for Windows 95 you can go ahead
  54. and use WebCam Sam.  If it is listed another version without
  55. Window 95 or 98 in the version name, you will need to upgrade
  56. your AOL software.

  58. To upgrade the AOL software. Dial into AOL and once connected
  59. go to Members in the menu and select member services. On the
  60. member services menu select 'Software And Tools'. Double on
  61. 'Download the Latest and Greatest Version of AOL'. Click on
  62. the 'Update Now' button and follow the on-screen download
  63. instructions.

  65. Reconnect to AOL using the new AOL software.  Once your connection
  66. has been established to AOL, you can start WebCam Sam.

  223.          was added. This allows you to create a new empty camera to add 
  224.          your own webcams.
